04/02/2026 - Acquirente Unico: Successfully issued a 7-year bond 

 

Acquirente Unico, the company in charge of holding Italy’s strategic petroleum reserves through the Central Stockholding Entity (OCSIT), today issued a €600 million bond with a 7-year maturity and an annual coupon of 3.5%, placed with Italian and international institutional investors.

The bond was issued at a spread of 45 bps spread over the Italian government bond (BTP) of the same maturity, registered investor demand of about 4x the amount issued and the issuance is intended to finance the purchase of petroleum reserves for the development of OCSIT’s industrial plan, as well as to repay the existing expiring bond.

The issuer has been assigned a BBB+/positive rating by S&P, equivalent to that of the Italian Republic.

The transaction was managed by Intesa Sanpaolo ( IMI CIB Division), BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole CIB, Mediobanca, and Unicredit.

The Chief Executive Officer, Professor. R. Giuseppe Moles  expressing great satisfaction with the operation, also on behalf of the Board of Directors, thanked the banks that managed the issuance as well as the investors for their confidence.
